Account Information

When you sign up, we collect your email address, password hash, and the public identity markers you choose (such as your gamertag, avatar image, bio, and custom profile layout styles).

Activity & Tracking Data

We collect information regarding how you interact with the platform, including the games you log, the reviews you write, your community verdicts, network rank positioning, and interactions on profile walls (comments and replies).

Technical Logs

For security and optimization purposes, our backend servers automatically collect standard technical logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, and timestamp data.

2. Public vs. Private Profile Visibility

Gamifo is a social networking platform designed around public gaming profiles.

Public Profiles

By default, your gamertag, network rank tier, pinned achievements, logged games list, and recent reviews are visible to anyone visiting the platform.

Private Profiles

If you toggle your account visibility to “Private” via your Account Settings, your core metrics, library feeds, and custom achievements are hidden from the public. Non-connected users must submit a “Request to Follow,” which you must manually approve before your detailed profile data is exposed to them.

Persistent Public Data

Even on private profiles, your gamertag and network rank tier may still appear on global public Leaderboards based on your aggregate platform scores.

3. Third-Party Services and Storage

Asset Storage

Your uploaded profile avatars, banners, and any post media are securely stored on external object storage services (such as AWS S3 or Cloudflare R2).

CDN and Caching

We use third-party Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) to cache and serve static media efficiently across geographic regions.

Analytics and APIs

We may use basic third-party analytics scripts to track site traffic or call public video game databases (like IGDB) to pull accurate poster artwork. These external tools do not receive your personal account credentials or private emails.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data strictly to:

  • Operate, maintain, and render the core social features of Gamifo.
  • Compute community leaderboard arrays and aggregate verdict percentages.
  • Moderate the platform, review reported content, and enforce safety protocols.
  • Send essential account notifications (such as password resets or critical updates). We will never sell your personal data or email addresses to third-party advertisers.

5. Your Rights and Data Deletion

You retain full control over your digital footprint on Gamifo:

Account Modifications

You can update your profile details, reset your passwords, or adjust your visibility settings at any time through the Settings tab.

Data Deletion

If you wish to permanently close your account and delete your associated records, you can submit a deletion request through your account interface, which will purge your personal user record from our primary production databases.
